Denise Magness, a Fargo, North Dakota native, attended the University of North Dakota, Grand Forks, and Colorado State University, Fort Collins, Colorado. She has been in the insurance industry since 1981, joining Warner and Company in 1985. She earned her CPSR designation for both personal and commercial lines in 1992. Denise is the executive vice president and chief operating officer as well as manager of the Personal Lines Department. She works with both personal and business insurance clients.

Denise has served in many roles at the YWCA, including two terms as president of the board of directors and also as leadership chair of the YWCA Capital Campaign. She served on the board of the Business Volunteer Council, was chair of the membership committee and served as president. She is an active member of Olivet Lutheran Church and the Fargo-Moorhead Chamber. She has also served as a loaned executive for United Way campaigns. She has served on the regional and also on the national Agents Advisory Councils for State Auto Companies.
